| Over the years the paper trade has become increasingly
dominanted by a few large organisations, making it difficult
for the independent paper merchant to compete on both price
and, more importantly, on service.
Ovenden had seen the quality of documentation (price lists,
quotes, delivery notes etc.,) from the larger merchants and
felt that the current software solution was not offering the
same quality.
Also, it was being increasingly important to ensure stock
levels were kept at an appropriate levels. Over ordering means
valueable warehouse space would be wasted. Under ordering
could result in loss of business.
